CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday laid the foundation stone for the third Tidel IT Park in the state through videoconferencing from the secretariat.
The IT park will be built at Pattabiram near Chennai in two years with an investment of Rs 235 crore. It would cater to startups, SMEs and companies developing futuristic tech.Spread over an area of 10 acres, the park will have 21 floors.
The IT park is expected to create direct employment for 25,000 people, according to a statement.
The state’s first Tidel Park, situated at Tharamani in Chennai, was completed in the year 2000. Tidel Park Coimbatore was built in 2010.
